Or life as the widow of an Alpha Geek. [Read More...]
Think you know me?
I grew up in Prospect Park, PA. I have two sisters (Lucy and Bridget) and two brothers (Ralph and Chuck) (no, my mother didn't have a lot of morning sickness, why do you ask?
) I went to Interboro schools. From there, I went to Penn State. I was happy there, so of couse I had to leave after four or five years. I dropped out of grad school to marry this guy, my Alpha Geek. He wrote some some books.
We had two kids. I can only reproduce in years beginning and ending in "1." I was a virgin until 1972. You figure out how old they are.
I lived in Melrose, Maryland for 8 years, and then we moved to Uniontown, Maryland for the next 19 years. Unfortunately, my husband only lived there 18.5 years. I used to work for HOMES, then I worked for some idiots in Hunt Valley (no link, I'm still steamed they laid me off), some idiots in Baltimore (I still hate business cards to this day), and a place that fired me for getting pneumonia and hospitalized. Then I went to work for a company that had a Medicare contract. I started as a secretary and became a technical editor. Then another company got the contract but I kept my job as a technical editor, although they did make me answer telephones for a time. I hate answering telephones. Now I work as a technical editor, but not on a Medicare contract.
